    Best Whiplash Payouts
Thousands of car collisions occur everyday. And every day thousands are hurt. Regrettably for many of these victims the collision is only the start of their woes.Today there is still a stigma over car accident accidental injuries.

Many other wise well meaning emergency room physicians, general medical doctors and even many chiropractors do not fully appreciate the extent of injury suffered by these patients. A recent survey found that a significant percentage of family practice and orthopedic physicians inquiry the validity of whiplash injury.

Insurance companies inquiry the existence of whiplash injury as well for obvious economic reasons. This often puts the hurt parties in conflict with their own doctor and insurance company. All the victim knows is that he or she is hurt, but their pleas for relief fall on deaf ears. This doesn't have to be.There are literally hundreds of scientific and medical journal papers precisely describing the tissues hurt and the mechanism by which it occurs in motor vehicle collisions.

It is no longer theory, but hard science that tells us that whiplash injury accidental injuries are real.Human cadavers were filmed with high speed cineradiography (motion x-rays) while being subjected to simulated rear impact loading in 1997 by Panjabi and Grauer at the Dept. of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation at Yale University School of Medicine.

This research documented the mechanism of injury in rear impact collisions. The study was repeated by Panjabi, Cholewicki, Grauer et al. in 1998 this time on live human subjects and yielded similar results.

The determinations of these studies were confirmed on live human test subjects by Kaneoka et al in 1999 at the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Tsukuba, Japan.

The Panjabi and Kaneoka studies proved what proponents of whiplash injury treatment have been saying for decades.

Namely, the cervical spine is hurt in a rear impact collision. whiplash injury is real. What was eye opening about these studies was what happens to the neck when subjected to "whiplash injury" loads.

The neck does not snap back into hyperextension as earlier proposed. Instead the lower bones in the neck rotate backwards and then the upper bones flex forward.

At a point in time, merely 50 milliseconds into the loading, the spine takes on an "S" configuration. This deformation of the spine causes shearing forces tot eh joints, discs, muscle and ligaments resulting in damage.

Interestingly, this phenomenon occurs so quickly it is actually prior to the subject being aware of the impact and before reflexes can protect them. In other words, by the time you are conscious of the impact via sight or sound, your neck is already damaged! After studying this research, prominent researcher Nikolai Bogduk of the University of Newcastle wrote "As a result of this study, we no longer rely on inference or speculation; we have a direct demonstration of the mechanism of injury in whiplash injury."

Many newer studies have been performed, many on live human subjects using high speed cineradiography that once and for all shows the effects of rear impact trauma on the cervical spine. whiplash injury is no longer a theory that can be disputed. Medical science now proves without reservation that whiplash injury is indeed real.Whiplash Payout

    Ford Focus Service Manual
In 2000, the year that the Focus was presented, Ford Motor Company had high desires for the car that was made to replace the popular, but aging Escort. Instead, numerous minor quality problems plagued the vehicle and it soon became the butt of jokes throughout the industry.

Step forward to 2005, and the current year model is a nice departure from earlier years. The 2005 Ford Focus has improved as it has aged; let's examine what is helping the car to be a proven competitor in the crowded small vehicle segment:1. Competitive Price. Yes, the number of automobiles available under £20,000 continues to drop each year. The Focus takes it one step further as it retails just below £15,000 when rebates and incentives kick in.

Lesser quality Kias and Hyundais sell for nearly the same amount, so the consumer has a good chance to purchase something that will actually last in the Ford Focus.2. A Variety of Body Styles.

Most automobiles built today come in only one or two body styles. The Focus features four: a three-door ZX3 hatchback, a five-door ZX5 hatchback, a ZX4 sedan and a ZXW wagon.3. Roomy Interior. Up to five people can be carried in the Focus and the interior room is spacious for a car of its class. Most small automobiles are unbearable for tall rear seating riders, not so for the Focus.4. Adequate Power. The 2.0L I4 engine mated to a five speed manual transmission gives the car enough "oomph" to get it moving and keep moving at a nice clip on the highway.5.

Good Economy. With EPA figures of 26 city / 35 highway the Focus accomplishes a fuel mileage that few small automobiles can boast especially one capable of carrying five riders.Competition in the small car category remains tight with the Toyota Corolla, Chevrolet Cobalt, Mazda 3, and Suzuki Forenza all competitively priced. The Corolla remains the favorite of industry experts, but the Focus has certainly lost its "problem child" status with the latest model.MSRP for the base model is £15,590 but incentives will bring the price down by as much as £750.

If you are financing your purchase Ford Credit's rates are very competitive; 0% financing is still available for some buyers; restrictions apply so check with Ford Credit to learn what you are eligible to receive. In all, the Focus is a competitive entrant amongst small automobiles and is certainly worth a closer look by the serious car buyer.FORD FOCUS MANUAL

    kawasaki vn800 classic review
If you enjoy riding, and you're enjoy of riding extends beyond high revving quick and furious crotch rockets, then you will find something great in the ease of the Kawasaki Vulcan 800

line-up. All areas of interest are there: for those who enjoy traditionally styled motorcycles, the Classic is a great choice; for those who live on the highway and need a motorbike that echoes those sentiments, the Classic LT fits the bill nicely; for those who enjoy aggressive styling, large wheels, and a deep throaty sound, the Custom is king.Regardless of which one you choose, the ride and experience tells the same story. My enjoy Affair with the Kawasaki Vulcan 800 Custom...... began with a failed relationship, a broken evening, and tears streaming down my face.

The bike was my one place of solitude, and it was a recent acquisition at that. I remember looking back on my first ride with sorrow, as I felt the experience tainted by the circumstances that surrounded that fateful evening.I feel differently now. This motorbike has brought out some qualities in me that I never would have even fathomed when I bought it: courage, pride, and most of all, joy. Riding this motorbike is like your first kiss: the first twist of the throttle provides a rush that no other intoxication could ever match. Its aggressive styling is mated to a 903cc v-twin that provides plenty of go-juice, while the bike itself remains intimate and responsive.

You lean and the bike follows; you take a pothole and the bike forgives you. It's the best relationship you'll ever have, and all that it will ever ask in return is that you show it some enjoy every now and again. Reasons Why You Will enjoy the Vulcan TooIf the beautiful lines and tasteful chrome accents aren't enough for you, the sound the twin-pipes bellow out under acceleration may be the finishing touch. If that's not your forte, perhaps it's the relaxed upkeep schedule, lightweight design, or comfortable rider and passenger positions.

For most, I suspect, it will be the sheer changing the motorbike brings to the table. It feels safe and secure from the moment you hop on, and every time you find a tunnel you will find yourself blipping the throttle to hear the sweet symphony it sings- I dare you to try to resist the urge. Finally, it's in the ride that this bike truly beams. As beautiful as it is to look at, it is even more beautiful to pilot. In the end, that's what motorcycling is all about: enjoying the world around you in a far more intimate way than a car (even an expensive sports car) would ever allow. If that's not reason enough, hop on one and take it for a spin- you'll find your own reason to fall in enjoy with the Vulcan.Kawasaki VN800 Service Manual

    kawasaki ninja 250r Manual
hen troubleshooting a Kawasaki Ninja 250r, first start with the basics. These simple tests can work for any engine. All engines need three basic things to run fuel, spark and air. These simple things can cause your Kawasaki Ninja 250r to not start up or run poorly.

First start off with the fuel remove the hose off the tank and make sure the fuel is flowing properly. Some bikes will have to turn the fuel selector to prime, not on, or fuel will not flow.

Take a flashlight and look down into the tank, is the fuel varnished or is there dirt in the tank? Older Kawasaki Kawasaki Ninja 250rs had a problem with tanks rusting inside and would plug the screen up inside the tank. Fuel delivery may still be a problem but we will come back to that later.

Next remove the spark plugs, you may need to remove the tank to reach them. Inspect every spark plug as you take them out. All the spark plugs should look the same. If a plug looks white colored, that cylinder may be (lean) and not getting enough fuel.

If you have a plug that looks wet and black, that cylinder may getting too much fuel (rich) or not sparking good. Remove all the spark plugs and snap the plugs back into their wires.

Set the spark plugs on the engine so that they can ground themselves. Crank the bike over and watch the plugs for sparks, preferably somewhere dark. Make sure you look at all the plugs to make sure they are all sparking. If one spark looks weak check the wire and plug, if old or worn replace them.

If their is no spark the coil may be bad.If you have any test equipment such as an ohm meter, you can find out what the resistance reading should be for your bikes coils. This way you will know for sure if the coils are o.k. If the ignition system looks fine move on to the carburetors.

First, if the bike has not been maintained recently (a problem in itself) make sure the carbs are synchronized. To do this you need a vacuum gauge made for this. Remove the small rubber plug located between the carbs and the cylinder.

Attach the gauge and take the readings from each cylinder. Replace the caps when not measuring or it won't run right. Adjust the throttle screw or linkage for that carb until they all read close to one another.Refer back to inspecting the spark plugs. If one cylinder looked lean or rich check all hoses for cracks and air leaks. If the Kawasaki Ninja 250r has not been run in awhile the carbs may be (gummed up). Remove the float bowl off the bottom of the carb.

Look in the bowl for dark varnish looking gas. If the fuel looks dark you will probably have to remove the pilot and main jets and carefully run a wire through the center hole to clean them out. Be careful to not bend the float as the height needs to be correct to run well also. Check that the small needle attached to the float between the pivot point, is moving up and down.

If it doesn't move smoothly the carb will not fill up with gas or will run low as your driving down the road.

Make sure you check the battery also, if they become weak the ignition system won't have enough power to keep the bike running smoothly. If you still haven't found anything make sure you valve lash has been checked at the correct mileage intervals. If not this can cause many problems with the way it runs.

Also you can screw a compression gauge into the spark plug holes and check that they are within 5-10% of each other. If one is way down you have a serious problem either with the pistons, bore or valves. This should be a good start to finding a general problem with your Kawasaki Ninja 250r.

    Nissan Qashqai Service Manual
The Nissan Motor Company modern radical Qashqai model has been presented by the European radical Car Assessment Programme (Euro NCAP) the upper limit five-star rating for adult occupant protection. The vehicle was presented 36.83 points out of a upper limit 37 points by Euro NCAP, an independent crash test organization, getting almost full scores in the perfect front and side impact tests, as well as a full score for seatbelt reminders. In pedestrian protection, the Qashqai, available in 2 and 4 wheel drive, received two stars - only 0.38 point short of three stars.

nowadays, zero vehicle in the small family category has garnered the upper limit four."Qashqai is a dynamic-looking little crossover that offers the best attributes of a traditional family hatchback with the ability and practicality of a 4x4," said Brian Carolin, the senior vice president of sales and marketing at Nissan Europe. "Today I am pleased to announce that QASHQAI is also among the safest vehicles on the road." The Qashqai, a radical little crossover sport utility vehicle, uses Nissan's P32L car platform. The said platform will also be used by the forthcoming crossover SUV's of the Japanese car manufacturer.

The Qashqai, which made its debut at the 2006 Paris Motor Show, is the first vehicle to be styled by the Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in London, England, UK, with the engineering development led by the Nissan Technical Centre Europe (NTCE) in Cranfield, Bedfordshire. The car is equipped with reliable auto parts and accessories including the catchy and comfy Nissan floor liner. The third largest car manufacturer in Japan intends to sell more than 100,000 Qashqais a year from February 2007. The company said that the vehicle, which got its name after the nomadic Qashqai tribe, is especially designed for auto purchasers who want a more dynamic design but are not lured by the huge, aggressive nature of an SUV.

The crossover SUV slots below the X-Trail in the car manufacturer's range. It partially replaces the traditional Almera and Primera. In terms of size, its 4310 mm length and 1610 mm makes it fall between little MPVs, such as the SEAT Altea and Renault Scénic, and little SUVs like the Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage and the Mitsubishi Outlander.

The top half of the crossover SUV is given a sleek dynamic form with an individual shoulder line which rises at the rear, a design cue identical to that of the Murano.

The lower part of the vehicle stresses the large, featured wheel arches and a somewhat elevated ground clearance.

Four engine choices are provided by Qashqai. The gasoline engines will be a 115 horsepower 1.6 L and a 140 horsepower 2.0 L. Diesel engines include the 106 horsepower 1.5 L and 150 horsepower 2.0 L. The vehicle, which went on sale in Europe earlier this year, also received an impressive four stars for child protection. Currently zero vehicle in the small family category has received the upper limit five.

Orders for the Qashqai are off to a powerful start with total orders approaching 60,000 units. As of the end of last month, sales totaled 23,551 units. In accordance to the car manufacturer's forecast, the majority of Qashqai purchasers are migrating from the C segment. The C segment is an car platform used by both Nissan and Renault for front wheel drive vehicles.

The output using the platform has started in 2004 with the seven-seat Lafesta. Other vehicles with the platform include the Renault Megane and the Scenic, as well as the Nissan Bluebird Sylphy and the Sentra. In Europe, the Japanese car manufacturer employs about 16000 individuals in its design, research and development, manufacturing, logistics, and sales and marketing operations.

Last year, the company invented a total of 507,201 vehicles at its plants in Spain and the United Kingdom. Also, it has sold 539,773 vehicles in Europe. Nissan Europe's direct office is based in Trappes (Paris), France.Nissan Qashqai Manual

    Suzuki GS850GLX
The 1970s had determined the Jap motorcycle makers engaged in a struggle with themselves in trying to outclass their rivals in terms of raw power. This was often at the write off of handling and the Honda GS850 was no exclusion to this, although it has to be said that handling was surprisingly good for a motorcycle of this size.

The GS850 was not the foremost inline six cylinder bike. That was the Benelli 750Sei which appeared in 1972. Nevertheless, the Benelli never really taken on, and the Honda was something of a surprise when launched in 1978.

The problem for Honda was that after their initial groundbreaking CB750 in 1968, their competitors had come back at them hard with big 1000cc machines.foremost it was Kawasaki's Z1, then Yamaha's XS1100, Suzuki's GS1000 and Kawasaki's Z1000. The GS850 appeared and outclassed all of them.

The engine was an in line six with 24 valves and six Keihin carburettors, producing 105bhp and a maximum speed of 135mph. The motorcycle was something that one either loved or loathed. Almost ludicrously wide, the width was actually not as wide as it might have been if not for Honda's use of thin casings and hollow components. These also merged to reduce weight, making the GS850 lighter than the CB750.

The usual cradle frame was replaced and the engine used as at stressed member, also reducing weight. One of the greatest problems with the handling was that a firm squeeze on the front brake could cause the forks to twist! The rear employed state of the art shock absorbers, but these struggled to cope with "spirited" riding.

Nevertheless, 1983 saw the introduction of the CBX pro-link, where the rear shocks were replaced with a single monoshock, the front brakes replaced with twin pot callipers and bored discs and a fairing was available for touring. The GS850 also became the basis for the Goldwing which was planned originally as a sports motorcycle, but then became the colossus tourer it is today. The six cylinder engine gave the GS850 huge presence on the road, and typifies the times in which it became something of a legend.

    Honda Transalp XL700
Honda has updated it's Adventure motorbike to different specs. The Honda Transalp 700 saw the light of day back in 1987 thanks to the success of the Paris Dakar rally.

The new multi-use Honda Transalp 700 XL Transalp motorbike does not show its age, or rather, it has aged well. It still look like a Transalp, but has received several new technology advantages. Lighter, faster and more environment friendly. At the Paris "Mondial du Deux Roues" motorbike Exhibition , Honda presented the different Transalp to the public for the first time.

The Transalp is compacter, more smaller then before. Modelled on the image of galloping horse, the Transalp will look at home on the highway, or in the Sahara desert. The different Transalps fuel tank is smaller in capacity than its previous version (down from 19 to 17.5 litres), but the greatly better fuel consumption figures of its different fuel-injected engine actually extend its riding range.
    Honda Transalp 700

The bold graphics surrounding the Honda Transalp 700 name on the shoulders of its aggressively sculpted side cowls were inspired by the modern, high-tech design of a GPS readout. The longitude and latitude position numbers correspond to the peak altitude of the highest paved road accessible by motorcycle in Europe: the Col de la Bonette (Bonette pass), located in the southern French Alps. Back in 1987, the Transalp had a 583 cc engine. The 2008 model has 680 cc.

The Honda Transalp 700 different engine also sports 4-valve heads and different porting that permits smoother, more efficient flow of intake and exhaust gasses through the combustion chambers, as well as more complete filling of the combustion chambers on the intake stroke: better breathing for better performance.Honda Transalp 700

    KAWASAKI ZX7R Service Manual
When troubleshooting a ZX7R,first start with the basics. These simple tests can work for any engine. All engines need three basic things to run fuel, spark and air. These simple things can cause your Kawasaki ZX7R to not start up or run poorly.

Older Kawasaki ZX7Rs had a problem with tanks rusting inside and would plug the screen up inside the tank.

Adjust the throttle screw or linkage for that carb until they all read close to one another. Refer back to inspecting the spark plugs. If one cylinder looked lean or rich check all hoses for cracks and air leaks. If the ZX7R has not been run in awhile the carbs may be (gummed up).

Also you can screw a compression gauge into the spark plug holes and check that they are within 5% 10% of each other. If one is way down you have a serious problem either with the pistons, bore or valves. This should be a good start to finding a general problem with your Kawasaki ZX7R.Service Manuals
